GENESIFTER RECEIVES "BEST PRACTICES" AWARD
Caps off VizX Labs' most successful month yet
November 9, 2005 - Miami - For developing the GeneSifter microarray analysis system, VizX Labs today received the 2005 Frost & Sullivan "Best Practices Award for Product Innovation" in its Bioinformatics in Drug Discovery category. The Award was presented at the 2005 Excellence in Best Practices Awards Banquet in Miami, Florida. In presenting the award, Frost & Sullivan called GeneSifter "a uniquely accessible product solution that stands apart from its competitors."
The award comes on the heels of the company's most successful month yet. September was a record sales month, doubling the next best month in the company's history. Recent weeks have seen sales of GeneSifter to major research institutions across the world including commercial research organizations such as Johnson & Johnson and Isis Pharmaceuticals, as well as non-profit groups such as the Huntsman Cancer Institute, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Maine Medical Center, and the Tokyo Medical University.
"Celebrating this achievement is an appropriate capstone to a remarkably successful period for VizX," said CEO Tom Ranken, "and an excellent launch point for what we expect to be an even more successful finish to the year. Microarray scientists can get to experimental answers with GeneSifter in a fraction of the time that any other system requires."
